In this week-long camp, young artists will embark on a journey through time, discovering the wonders of prehistoric life in Vermont through the creation of clay fossils and footprints. This interdisciplinary camp combines the excitement of paleontology with the joy of sculpting as participants delve into the art and science of creating their own miniature ancient artifacts. Campers will learn about famous fossils found in the state of Vermont, such as the Charlotte Whale, and use their imaginations to repopulate the state with ancient behemoths and outlandish creatures. "Clay Fossils and Footprints" promises a week filled with creativity, discovery, and the joy of crafting artistic representations of Earth's ancient inhabitants. Join us for a unique blend of art and science, where every creation tells a story from the distant past!
Please note: Due to the time necessary for proper drying and firing of ceramic artwork, campers should not expect to bring home finished work at the end of the week. All ceramic pieces will be fired and packaged within 2 weeks of the end of camp, and families will be notified via email as soon as they are available for pickup.
